Meoow!

Hi. Sorry I've been away for so long. I've actually got a few things to say, about stuff that's happened to me:

As you all know, I've got a cat now. I've been keeping a mental record of the things he does, just so I can talk about them later. One thing he does do is wanting to be in the same room I am. He wakes me up at 8:30 in the morning just so I go with him to the kitchen and look at him eat his leftover food from the previous night. He gets mightily offended if I don't. He's odd and fidgety and terribly moody, and I get the feeling he believes I do get him most of the time, which is why he gets so frustrated when i don't. Here's a picture of the both of us. The one with a lot of hair is me, the one in grey is Tapete.

Also, as you know, I'm getting married. The best things in life are free, but a lot of the things that surrounds them are a bit steep. Everything is going well, actually, and I'm quite happy, but I think I may be in need of some help. I don't like doing it anymore than I should, but it's one of those time when I ask readers for any little dollar they might want to part with. Just so I don't spend any goodwill from the readers I may have left, I promise I'll even remove (yes, remove!) the donation page from this website for the rest of the year, just so you don't have to feel like I'm constantly begging. I will send people wallpapers and special surprises (another promise I intend to keep) and I'll be forever grateful.

But that's not all! I have also put up some new strips for sale, including.... drumroll please... Laurie's first appereance! It's true, you can find them here:

Thanks a million (boy, would a million help me out!)

Very cute. Your cat sounds wonderful (even if he is terribly moody)!

Weddings are ridiculously expensive. :P But I am happy you are having one! Congratulations.

Hey, Good News. Looks like we're getting back $600 in a tax rebate in addition to whatever you normally get back from taxes. Between you and your fiance, $1200 could help out in the wedding. :D That's gotta at least pay for.. what? Cake! :)

Awww, your kitty is so cute! Give him some snuggles from me and my trio of furballs (especially Clara, she thinks every other cat should be her kitten and she should love and mother it).

As to the wedding, yeah, they are a serious PAIN to pay for and plan. But sooooo worth it! And I'm so glad that you found your One to marry, anyway. :) I have /no/ money myself right now (seriously, I'm overdrawn as it is), but you know I'll help you out with what I can as soon as I can! :)

Need to do my taxes and get my refund on the way, that will totally help.

Hey - I wanted to warn you about your auctions on Ebay. It appears you have either an enemy, or someone who thinks he is being funny. It is obvious when you look at the bidding history that someone with too much time on his/her hands has made a number of fake Ebay accounts and is using them to attack your auction. I suggest that you might want to remove those obvious fake bids. You could leave them up, I suppose, but then that's going to make it impossible for those REAL bidders who would bid on your artwork, but not in the thousands of dollars range.

A company for the meal

You lucky man! Not for the wedding (congratulations!) but for the understanding cat. Our little rusty buster woke me up in the deep middle of the night crying heartbreaking for the same purpose! He ate a couple of bits and walked away. Ignoring me. He just did not like eating alone and in the darkness.
The Sheep is fabulous, by the way! :) Thank you for it!
Best regards from Koticzka!

I don't know how well wedding cake emails, but we would like to see pictures of the big event (at least in doodle form?) :)
Good luck with it all!

Dude, I read your post and I thought: man, that sounds exactly like my cat! Then I saw the picture and realized they are almost exactly identical. Just be greatful he wakes you up at 8:30 in the morning. Mine wakes me up at 5 (and I usually get home from work at 1 am). Perhaps there is a government conspiracy which involves cloning my cat to induce sleep loss and make us more like the mindless corporate drones they want us to be.... or perhaps they're both domestic wildcats and thats an inherent trait.

Mine is the opposite of almost everyone else I have ever heard talk of their cats waking them up. When I get up, she squints at me as if to say, "What are you doing? It's early, let's sleep longer..."

Hey, thought I'd actually drop you a note, finally (I've been reading the comic faithfully since Feb '04). I have to say, your cat looks exactly like my two kittens.

Anyhow, I've come across a tip for saving money on Weddings- you don't tell the stores you are buying from/renting from that it is for a wedding. Apparently, this cuts down 5-30% of the cost; such as renting a community hall, or buying flowers for decoration, or catering. If you tell them it's for a 'party' and not a 'wedding', apparently the prices differ. It's just a rumour, but it's worth checking out.

That aside, I want to wish you, sincerely, happiness in your marriage. I am grateful for 'getting to know you' over the past few years by reading your comic and your messages, and I have warm fuzzies inside knowing there's a pretty lady who's going to be very happy by being with you.
